Creating a safe space for children to experience the love of God and the truth of the gospel

About Grace Kids

Kids Ministry at Grace Fellowship is passionate about partnering with parents to teach kids to love and trust God no matter what.

We support parents in their God-given roles as primary spiritual leaders of their family by prioritizing five core values—safety, parent trust, gospel-centered learning, church integration, and parent discipleship. We desire to uphold these values at our Sunday programming, special family events, and other gatherings.

How We Operate

We hope to display and teach kids the significance of studying the Bible and spending time in the community with other believers through our Sunday programming.

Each Sunday, preschool and elementary school kids spend time in the large church gathering and a small group setting. During the large church gathering, children participate in the worship music portion of our service with parents or guardians before splitting into age-specific small groups. In these smaller groups, kids spend time studying Scripture while growing their relationships with one another and their leaders!

Frequently Asked Questions

What can I expect on my first visit?

First of all, welcome! We’re so excited to see you! Upon arrival, follow the signs to the Grace Kids check-in area. If you need any help, find a volunteer wearing a Grace Name tag, they’ll point you in the right direction. Because of our commitment to safety, you’ll check your child(ren) in using our check-in system. If your child has any special concerns or allergies that our team needs to know, please tell the volunteers at check in. We want to do the best we can to safely accommodate everyone! During the programming, you can expect your kid(s) to hear a lesson about the gospel told in kid-friendly language, complete activities that relate to the lesson, and learn a monthly memory verse in a fun and safe environment!

How do I check my child in on Sundays?

We’ll have signs pointing you to the check-in area where one of our Kids volunteers will be available to help. Because of our commitment to safety, every child will need to be checked in and out using our check-in system. If it’s your first visit, we’ll ask for a bit of family information—your full name, your child’s full name, their birthday, your contact information, and any special instructions or allergy information. Once your child has been checked in, you’ll receive corresponding parent and child stickers which will be used to pick your child up after the worship service has ended.

How do you prioritize safety?

We recognize that God has entrusted us with the safety of kids while they’re in our care, and we prioritize their well-being. Each Kids environment is supervised by multiple volunteers who have undergone an extensive onboarding process that includes a background check, policy training, and completion of an accredited sexual abuse awareness training. All of our Kids areas are secure. Only parents and approved volunteers are allowed in the children’s rooms.

If you have any additional questions regarding the practices or policies surrounding children’s safety, please reach out to our Kids director.

My child has special needs. What steps are taken to make your environments inclusive?

We want our Kids Ministry to reflect the truth of Scripture that there should be no distinction in the body of Christ. As such, our ministry strives to provide an inclusive, gospel-centered environment for children who face unique challenges related to their physical, mental, behavioral, medical, or emotional needs. If you have a child with special needs or would like more information, please reach our Kids director.
